The Best Bets paid off last week with Chase Elliott at 17-2 odds. I put $10 on the No. 9 car and returned a $85 profit. Not too bad. Now it is time to keep the momentum rolling and close out the season with another win. I hope you enjoyed this article each week. I will continue to post it for the races in 2021.
Las Vegas Odds for Phoenix
Championship Four: This is a unique race. The trend in the final race is for the drivers competing for the Championship to all run up front. These drivers get plenty of room on the track, they start in the first four positions and they have the four best pit stalls. I can make a case for each of them to go to Victory Lane Sunday. I am betting each of them and hope Brad Keselowski wins since his odds are the best. If you only wan to bet one of them, here is how I rank them: 1. Joey Logano (17-2), 2. Denny Hamlin (6-1), 3. Brad Keselowski (10-1) and Chase Elliott (7-1).
Kevin Harvick (3-1): Betting the chalk is never fun but the chances of a driver coming out of nowhere to win the championship race is slim. If a non-playoff driver is going to win, it will be Kevin Harvick. I heard that the No. 4 team has been working on their Phoenix car for weeks. They probably focused too much on this race and not enough on Texas and Martinsville. I can see Harvick going out and spanking the field Sunday.
Clint Bowyer (50-1): Clint Bowyer will be my $2 long-shot bet this week. This is his last race and he said on SiriusXm NASCAR Radio, “Listen, I do not have any teammates out there racing for the championship. I do not need to worry about who I piss off. This is my last race and I am going to try and win the damn thing.” Bowyer has been good at Phoenix in his career. Maybe he can retire with the checkered-flag Sunday.
Good luck this week!
