The NFL always has a good prime time schedule in Week 1 and this year is no different. The Cowboys take on the Giants in New York on Sunday Night Football and the Bills travel to New York to take on the Jets on Monday Night Football. These are two good divisional match ups that should be a lot of fun to create a Showdown Lineup for.
Here are my Showdown Contest picks for the Prime Time games in Week 1…
SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL
The Sunday Night Football game between the Cowboys and Giants is not tough to figure out. You need both of the QBs (DAK PRESCOTT and DANIEL JONES) in your Cash Contest lineup and at least one of them in your Tournament Contest lineups. Both RBs are in play (TONY POLLARD and SAQUON BARKLEY). These two RBs should be considered for the Captain Position in Tournament Contests. CEEDEE LAMB is the best play at the WR Position. He can also be considered for the Captain Position in Tournament Contests. DARREN WALLER (expected to plays), BRANDIN COOKS, ISAIAH HODGINS, JAKE FERGUSON and PARIS CAMPBELL are all good plays. The best “punt plays” include DUECE VAUGHN, MATT BREIDA and DANIEL BELLINGER (gets a large boost if Waller is out).
