DFS Picks for NFL Week 15

Facebooktwitter

The NFL heads into Week 15 and that means that most Fantasy Football Leagues are now having their playoff games. This is also a great week to play DFS, if your season long team failed to make the playoffs. Week 15 has a full slate of 13 games. That doesn’t happen often in the NFL. We have plenty of choices to choose from, so we can be creative to construct some winning lineups as the NFL regular season comes to an end.

Here are my picks for the NFL Week 15….

DRAFTKINGS NFL CASH CONTEST

QUARTERBACK: The two best choices for QB in Cash Contests this week are Jaxson Dart and MARCUS MARIOTA. Dart is one hit away from being back on the bench, so I will play it safe and use Mariota. He has averaged 20 DK Points in the last three games that Mariota has started. The Giants have given up the fourth-most DK Points to the QB Position this year. Mariota should have no problem scoring this week for your Cash Contest lineup.

RUNNINGBACKS: CHRISTIAN MCCAFFREY is expensive this week, but he is the safest play on the slate and CMC has a great chance to be the highest scoring player on the slate. The 49ers have a lot to play for and they know who their best player is. CMC will get a lot of work and he should easily score 25+ DK Points against the Titans’ 18th-ranked run defense…. I thought about saving some salary and using Woody Marks, but CHASE BROWN is a safer play, with a higher ceiling. Brown has been on fire for over a month. He is averaging 20 DK Points over his last six games. Brown just scored 18.3 DK Points in Baltimore on Thanksgiving night. He should score more than that at home in Cincy.

WIDE RECEIVERS: JAXON SMITH-NJIGBA bounced back after he laid an egg vs. the Vikings in Week 13. JSN has scored over 20 DK Points in 11 of his 13 games this year. The Seahawks want to help JSN win Offensive Player of the Year, so they will feed him the ball a lot Sunday. JSN is the safest play at the WR Position Sunday… There is a new No. 1 WR in Jacksonville. I was worried about JAKOBI MEYERS last with Brian Thomas Jr. returning to the lineup, but it did not matter. Meyers still led the Jags in targets and receptions. Meyers should score well Sunday vs. The Jets’ Defense… I typically do not like to stack in my Cash Contest lineup, but I will this week. Marcus Mariota likes to lock into one WR and target him a lot. That is what happened when JAUAN JENNINGS will be my third WR in my Cash Contest lineup. Jennings has become the No. 1 WR for the 49ers. The Titans just made Shedeur Sanders look like Joe Montana. The 49ers should roll in this game and Jennings should be a big part of it.

TIGHT END: ISAIAH LIKELY and Mark Andrews are almost “Free Squares” this week. The Bengals have allowed 16 TD’s to the TE Position this year. The record is 18 by the Giants in 2018 and it looks like the Bengals Defense is on track to smash that record. Likely is now healthy and he has scored over 12 DK Points in his last two games. That includes 13.5 DK Points vs. the Bengals two weeks ago. I like Andrews this week too, but I will take the $500 discount and use Likely vs. the Bengals.

FLEX POSITION: It may be tough to win you Cash Contest Sunday without Christian McCaffrey and Jaxon Smith-Njigba in your lineup. That means we need to save some salary in the Flex Position. I will do it with HAROLD FANNIN JR. He is quickly becoming the No. 1 target for the Browns. Fannin had 11 passes thrown his way last week and he turned it into 28.4 DK Points. David Njoku has been ruled out, so Fannin will all of the work at the TE Position for the Browns. He has a good chance to score 15+ DK Points vs. the Bears 21st-ranked pass defense.

DEFENSE/SPECIAL TEAMS: I will take a chance with the SAINTS DEFENSE/ST for my Cash Contest lineup. The Saints played the Panthers in Week 12 and the Saints Defense/ST scored 12 DK Points. Can they do it again? The Saints are only priced at $2,500, so I do not need them to score 12 DK Points again in order to return value. 7-8 DK Points should be enough.

DRAFTKINGS NFL TOURNAMENT CONTEST

TOURNAMENT STACK: The Lions vs. Rams has the highest Over/Under (54.5 Points) on the slate. I doubt this stack will be too contrarian, so I like it more for Single-Entry Contests. I will stack MATTHEW STAFFORD + PUKA NUCUA + COLBY PARKINSON for the Rams and run it back with AMON-RA ST. BROWN. DeVante Adams got banged up last week, so Nucua had a monster game. He scored 38.7 DK Points and the same situation could play out Sunday. Parkinson has been filling in for an injured Tyler Higbee and Parkinson has averaged 11.3 DK Points since he took over as the starter. That is not bad for $3,200… The Lions will have to throw it a lot this week to keep up with the Rams. That means a lot of targets and a lot of DK Points for St. Bown.

RUNNINGBACKS: I will stack Devin’s in the RB Position in my Tournament Contest lineup. It will start with DEVIN NEAL. Alvin Kamara is out, so it will be the Neal Show for Nola. The Panthers have given up the 7th-most DK Points to the RB Position this year. Neal scored 15.4 DK Points last week. He should do it again Sunday… DEVIN SINGLETARY was one of the hottest waiver wire pickups two weeks ago. The Giants had their bye last week and everyone forgot about Singletary, but I didn’t. He scored 19.7 DK Points vs. the tough Patriots’ Defense in his last game. Now Singletary gets to face the Commanders’ 29th-ranked run defense. Singletary is just too cheap to pass up at $5K this weekend.

WIDE RECEIVERS: Tee Higgins is out this week, so it is time to get Andrei Iosivas into your lineup, right? Not so fast my friend. Higgins missed the game in Week 13 and it was MITCH TINSLEY who filled in for the missing Higgins. Tinsley had 9 targets in that game. He did not score very well, but I will take a chance with any WR who gets 9 targets when their price is only $3,100.

FLEX POSITION: We often hear people in the Fantasy Football industry say, “It is a revenge game.” Most of the time it doesn’t mean much, but it sure does for STEFON DIGGS. The Patriots played the Bills in Week 5. Diggs went off for 27.6 DK Points vs. his former team. This is a huge game for both teams. I expect Diggs to be busy burning the Bills. I doubt his ownership will be too high Sunday.

RB + DEFENSE/ST: So, the Indianapolis Colts are going to start a 44 year old, Grandpa, who weighs nearly 300 LBS at QB Sunday vs. the No. 1 defense in the NFL? Sign me up!!!! The SEAHAWKS DEFENSE/ST scored 30 DK Points vs. the Vikings two weeks ago and 19 DK Points last week vs. the Falcons. They may break the slate for what they are about to do to “Old Man Rivers.”
