The O’Reilly Series will join the Truck Series in a points paying race at Dover Motor Speedway this weekend, while the Cup Series competes in their All-Star Race. The racing in the O’Reilly Series has been excellent this year. We just had another last lap pass for a win at Watkins Glen last Saturday. The last two O’Reilly Series races at Dover have ended under caution. That does not mean there wasn’t any excitement in the race. I expect another fun race for the O’Reilly Series this weekend at “The Monster Mile.” The Bet Rivers 200 can be seen Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on CW Channel.
FANTASY STATS FOR DOVER
Dover Motor Speedway is a high-banked, one-mile, concrete track. The best way to handicap the Bet Rivers 200 is to use the stats from the races at Darlington and Bristol this year and combining them with the stats from the last three races at Dover Motor Speedway. This will give us an idea of which drivers have had speed on similar tracks to Dover Motor Speedway in 2026 and which drivers have had success at The Monster Mile.

PRACTICE / QUALIFYING
The O’Reilly Series had 50-minutes to dial in their cars for the Bet Rivers 200. I looked at the trends for this race and about four of the drivers who post top-10 speed on the single lap speed chart, finish the race in the top-10. Roughly five of the drivers who post top-10 speed on the long-run speed chart (10 Lap Average), finish the race in the top-10. The best way to find the top drivers is to look for the drivers who were fast on both speed charts. They almost always finish in the top-10 at Texas Motor Speedway.

The race Saturday is scheduled for 200 laps (200 miles). That means there are 50 points available for leading laps and 90 points available for fastest laps (140 dominator points). The trend in the last three races at Dover is for one driver to lead roughly 90 laps and score 20 fastest laps (31.5 dominator points). Another driver leads roughly 40 laps and scores 34 fastest laps (25.3 dominator points). A third driver leads roughly 26 laps and scores 16 fastest laps (13.7 dominator points).
We are going to need the top-two dominators in our tournament lineups today. It will be hard to win our contest without the 57 dominator points that they are projected to score. We will just need our other four drivers to score a few place differential points and not screw things up for the lineup to score well. It will be even better to have the top-three dominators and the 70.5 dominator points that they are projected to score. I will pay up for the drivers who I think can lead the most laps at Dover today.
WINNING LINEUPS AT DOVER (2024-2025)
I really did not find too many trends in the winning lineups at Dover Motor Speedway. Both lineups did have two drivers priced over $10K and at least one “punt play.” Do not be afraid to use all of your salary this week because the average price of the winning lineup is $49,900.
