The NASCAR O’Reilly Series will join the Cup Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway this weekend for the fourth race in their chase for the championship. The O’Reilly Series last raced in Sin City in March. That race was stunk up by Kyle Larson and Chase Briscoe. The Cup Series stars are not allowed to enter the race this weekend, so we should see a much more competitive race than what we had in the spring. It should be fun to see if Sheldon Creed can continue his hot run in the playoffs, or if Carson Kvapil can catch fire again and maybe Justin Allgaier reminds these young drives who is actually the king of the O’Reilly Series. The Focused Health 302 can be seen Saturday at 7:30 p.m. ET on CW Channel.
FANTASY STATS FOR LAS VEGAS
The O-Reilly Series has competed on five 1.5-mile, intermediate tracks this year (Las Vegas, Kansas, Texas, Charlotte and Chicago). The best way to handicap the Focused Health 302 is to use the stats from the races on the 1.5-mile, intermediate tracks this year and combine it with the stats from the last three races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This should give use an idea of which drivers have had speed on the intermediate tracks this year and which drivers have been good in Las Vegas.
Here are the stats from the last three races at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the races on the 1.5-mile, intermediate this year, sorted by DraftKings Points….

PRACTICE / QUALIFYING
The O’Reilly Series will have a 50-minute practice session Saturday to dial in their cars for Saturday’s race. Las Vegas Motor Speedway is a 1.5-mile, intermediate track so it takes some time to make a lap in Sin City. Some teams made some short runs and then worked on their cars. The drivers who made long runs and showed up at the top of the 10-lap average speed chart are the drivers who typically run up front in this race. Track position is important too, so you will also want to select some drivers who start near the front Saturday night.
Sorry I cannot post the practice speeds. You should be able to see them on the nascar.com website or Jayski.com.
DRIVER RANKINGS FOR LAS VEGAS

STRATEGY FOR LAS VEGAS
The race Saturday is scheduled for 201 laps (301 Miles). That means there are 50.25 points available for leading laps and 90.45 points available for fastest laps (140.7 dominator points).
The most similar tracks to Las Vegas Motor Speedway are Texas, Charlotte and Kansas. JUSTIN ALLGAIER was the best O’Reilly Series driver in the first race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the races in Texas and Charlotte. He is the most likely driver to dominate tonight. Taylor Gray won the race at Kansas Speedway, so he could be a sneaky good dominator too this weekend. We cannot forget about Brandon Jones. He is always good on the 1.5-mile, intermediate tracks.
