DFS Picks for Truck Series Race at Charlotte

Facebooktwitter

This has to be the toughest article I have written. I already had “The Legend”, Kyle Busch picked as the winner of the Truck Series race at Charlotte. When I found out Thursday morning that he was sick, I posted on social media that I hoped that he would get better soon. When I found out about the passing of Busch Thursday evening, I could not believe it. I was shocked, I was sad and I was angry that he was taken from us and his family too soon. I still cannot believe the news. I wish it was all just a bad dream and I could wake up and everything would be back to normal. It makes me so sad to know that is not going to happen. RIP Rowdy!

Now, sadly, onto the picks L ……

FANTASY STATS FOR CHARLLOTE

We typically have a lot of data to work with by the time the Truck Series races at Charlotte, but that is not the case this year. The Truck Series did not race in Las Vegas or Kansas like they usually do early in the season. We can use the data from the 1.5-mile race in Texas and combine it with the last two races on the intermediate track in Charlotte to figure out who should be fast tonight. This will give us some of the 2026 speed and the trucker’s track history at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Here are the stats from the last two races at Charlotte Motor Speedway and the race at Texas this year, sorted by DraftKings Points….

PRACTICE / QUALIFYING

The Truck Series practice and qualifying was canceled because of the weather, so the starting lineup was set “per the rule book.” Corey Day is on the pole.

DRIVER RANKINGS FOR CHARLOTTE

DFS STRATEGY FOR CHARLOTTE

The race tonight is scheduled for 134 laps (201 miles). That means there are 33.5 points available for leading laps and 60.3 points available for fastest laps (93.8 dominator points available in tonight’s race). The trend is for one driver to lead roughly 50 laps and score 20 fastest laps (21.5 dominator points). A second driver leads roughly 42 laps and scores 40 fastest laps (28.5 dominator points). A third driver leads roughly 40 laps and scores 8 fastest laps (13.6 dominator points). We need to score as many of these dominator points as possible, so I will pay up so I will have two potential dominators in my lineups for the North Carolina Education Lottery 200.
