The Craftsman Truck Series will return after two weeks off to race at Texas Motor Speedway. This will be the first race for the Truck Series on a 1.5-mile, intermediate track this year. The Truckers did not join the Cup Series or O’Reilly Series at Las Vegas Motor Speedway or Kansas Speedway this year. There are six intermediate track races left on the schedule, so it will be important for the Truck Series teams to get this race right. It should be fun to see how it all plays out tonight. The SpeedyCash.com 250 can be seen Friday at 8 p.m. ET on FS1.
FANTASY STATS FOR TEXAS
We do not have a lot of data to work with this week. Most of the races for the Truck Series have been on Superspeedway tracks, Road Courses or Short Tracks. The Truck Series did race at Darlington and that is an intermediate track. I will use some of the stats from Darlington and combine it with the stats from the last two races at Texas Motor Speedway and the other 1.5-mile, intermediate tracks last year. This should give us an idea of which drivers are good at Texas, which are good on the intermediate tracks and factor in a bit of the speed from the 2026 season.
Here are the stats from the intermediate track races, sorted by DraftKings Points….

PRACTICE / QUALIFYING
The Truck Series had a 50 minute practice session to dial in their trucks for this evening’s race and then the teams lined up for single-lap qualifying. The field was set for the Speedycash.com 250 and the trucks were impounded for the race. The trucks that maintained their speed over the long-runs in practice are the ones we want in our DFS lineups tonight.

* Layne Riggs had his engine blow up on his qualifying lap, so he starts in the back tonight.
DRIVER RANKINGS FOR TEXAS

DFS STRATEGY FOR TEXAS
The race tonight is scheduled for 167 laps. That means there are 41.75 points available for leading laps and 75.15 points available for fastest laps (116.9 dominator points). Corey Heim smoked the field by leading 96 laps at Texas Last year. Kyle Busch led 112 laps in 2024. There is a good chance that one driver is going to lead 80% of the laps tonight, so we need to pay up for the top drivers so we can score the dominator points that the driver who leads the most laps is projected to score.
