DFS SNF Showdown Picks Week 2

The Miami Dolphins take their high-speed show to Foxboro, MA Sunday night to take on the New England Patriots. Both teams are coming off exciting games in Week 1. The Dolphins out-dueled the Chargers in L.A. and the Patriots came up just short in their attempt to upset the Eagles. These two teams split their games last year. The Dolphins won the first game 20-7 in Miami and the Patriots won the second game 23-21 in Foxboro. It will be fun to see how Bill Belichick’s defense can matchup up against Mike McDaniel’s offense.

Here are my Showdown Contest picks for the Prime Time games in Week 1…

TUA TAGOVAILOA and TYREEK HILL absolutely went off last week. I expect both players to have a good game Sunday night, but not nearly as good as they did against the Chargers. Both players can be used in the Captain Position in Cash Contests or in Tournament Contests.

JAYLEN WADDLE is my favorite play from the Dolphins in the Captain Position in Tournament Contests. Using Waddle over Tyreek Hill saves $3,600. I also like Waddle in the FLEX Position too…. DE’VON ACHANE is my pivot from Raheem Mostert. Achane sat out Week 1, but he should be back Sunday night. He received raved reviews in training camp. Achane should be a decent cheap play from the Dolphins… JASON SANDERS is my kicker in most of my season-long teams because the Dolphins are a high-scoring offense. Sanders is a good play in both Cash and Tournament Contests Sunday night… RIVER CRACRAFT is my favorite “punt play” from the Dolphins. He likely will not score 13 DK Points like he did in Week 1, but he should catch a few passes and easily return value on his $800 price tag.

MACK JONES had one of his best games of his career in Week 1 vs. the Eagles. He threw for 316 yards and 3 TDs (28.14 DK Points). He will likely have to air it out Sunday night to keep up with the Dolphins offense. Jones should be paired with Tua Tagovailoa in Cash Contests. Jones can also be played in the Flex Position.

RHAMONDRE STEVENSON can also be used in the Captain or FLEX Positions. The Patriots should try to run the ball to keep it away from the Dolphins offense. If that doesn’t work, Stevenson will be involved in the passing game. He is one of the safest players on the slate…. KENDRICK BOURNE is a good contrarian player to use in the Captain Position. He went off last week. Bourne had 11 targets, 6 catches for 64 yards and 2 TDs (24.4 DK Points). Bourne will be a contest winner if he has a game like that Sunday night and you played him in the Captain Position. I also like Bourne in the FLEX Position.

JUJU SMIH-SCHUSTER can be sprinkled into some lineups. The talk about his knee about ready to explode are overrated. Smith-Schuster had 7 targets last week, so he should be involved in the offense Sunday night…. HUNTER HENRY is going to be a popular pick because he was the highest scoring TE in Fantasy Football in Week 1. I doubt he scores 16.6 DK Points Sunday night, but he should score at least 10…. This is a MIKE GESICKI revenge game!!!! I would not be surprised if the Patriots threw him a TD in the red-zone Sunday night….. DEMARIO DOUGLAS is the Patriots’ new Wes Walker. He had 7 targets and caught 4 of them for 40 yards last week. He is the best “punt play” from the Patriots’ side of the ball.

Good Luck Tonight!
