DFS Xfinity Series Picks for New Hampshire

Facebooktwitter

The Xfinity Series will join the Cup Series at New Hampshire Motor Speedway this weekend. The field will have two Cup Series regulars in two really good cars Saturday. Christopher Bell will drive the No. 20 car for Joe Gibbs Racing and Alex Bowman will drive the No. 17 car for Hendrick Motorsports. Do not sleep on Corey Heim who will be behind the wheel of the No. 26 car for Our Motorsports or Carson Kvapil who will drive the No. 88 car for Junior Motorsports. They should be good too. There are more than enough talented drivers to create some winning DraftKings lineups from this week. It should be a fun race at the Magic Mile.

PRACTICE AND QUALIFYING AT NEW HAMPSHIRE

The Xfinity Series practice and qualifying was once again canceled because of the weather. That means the teams did not have any track time to shake down their cars and the lineup will be set “per the rule book.” Some of the drivers who start in the back will have extra fantasy value this week, since they have a good chance to score place differential and dominator points Saturday.

Here are the starting positions for the SciAps 200

DRAFTKINGS POINTS AT NEW HAMPSHIRE

The Xfinity Series has competed on three short, flat tracks similar to New Hampshire this year. I will be using the data from the races Phoenix, Richmond and Iowa to help construct my lineups. I will add this data to the two previous races at New Hampshire to help handicap the SciAps 200.

Here are the stats from the races at Phoenix Raceway, Richmond Raceway and Iowa, and the last two races at New Hampshire sorted by DraftKings Points….

STRATEGY FOR NEW HAMPSHIRE

The race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is scheduled for 200 laps. That means there are 50 points available for leading laps and 90 points available for fastest laps (140 total dominator points). The trend in the Xfinity Series races at New Hampshire is for one driver to lead 120 laps and score 46 fastest laps (50.7dominator points). Another driver leads 40 laps and scores 20 fastest laps (19 dominator points). We need to pay up for the two drivers who have the best chance to lead the most laps Saturday. We will not win any cash without the 70 dominator points that these two drivers are likely to score in our lineups.

The drivers with the best chance to score dominator points today includes Christopher Bell, Chandler Smith, Cole Custer, and Sam Mayer

The drivers with the best chance to score place differential points include Christopher Bell, Alex Bowman, Justin Allgaier, A.J. Allmendinger, Carson Kvapil, Brandon Jones, Shane van Gisbergen, Blaine Perkins, Garrett Smithley and Patrick Emerling
