DraftKings Picks for Truck Series Race at North Wilksboro

Facebooktwitter

The Truck Series will join the Cup Series at North Wilksboro this weekend. While this is the first points paying race for the Cup Series at North Wilksboro in 30 year, that is not the case for the truckers. The Truck Series races at North Wilksboro last year. Kyle Larson dominated the field in the No. 7 truck for Spire Motorsports. Carson Hocevar will be driving that truck this year at North Wilksboro. Can any of the Truck Series regulars beat the Cup Series stars who are entered in the race this weekend (Chase Elliott, Christopher Bell, Carson Hocevar and Shane van Gisbergen), or will it be another blowout by a ringer? It should be fun to see how it all plays out. The FaithFest 250 can be seen Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET on FS1.

DRIVER STATS FOR NORTH WILKSBORO

The Truck Series has not competed at any tracks that are like North Wilksboro this year, so we do not have any 2026 speed to work with. I looked at the stats from the race at North Wilksboro last year and combined it with the stats from the races at Martinsville and Richmond. This should give us a good idea of which drivers will be the best picks for our DraftKings lineup Saturday afternoon.

Here are the stats from the race at North Wilksboro last year and the similar tracks in 2025, sorted by DraftKings Points….

PRACTICE / QUALIFYING

The Truck Series had two 50 minute practice sessions to dial in their trucks for today’s race and then the teams lined up for single-lap qualifying. North Wilksboro is a small track, so most of the teams were able to make a long run in practice. I will be focusing the picks on the drivers who posted a fast 10-lap average and qualified up front. The drivers who check these boxes will be the best for our DraftKings lineups today.

Here are the practice speeds from the final practice session at North Wilksboro….

DFS STRATEGY FOR NORTH WILKSBORO

The race today is scheduled for 250 laps (156 miles). That means there are 62.5 points available for leading laps and 112.5 points available for fastest laps (175 dominator points available in Saturday’s race). Most of the races in the Truck Series on the short tracks have had two dominators. I expect that will be the case again Saturday. I plan to pay up for the two drivers who I think can lead the most laps at North Wilksboro.
