Driver Group Game Lineup Change

My goal for all of my subscribers is to provide the best picks possible. Sometimes I come across some information and it makes me rethink my initial thoughts. This is one of those weeks. I found out some information about one of the drivers in my lineup so I am going to make a change.

Jenna Fryer from the associated press reported that there are car problems at Team Penske. Joey Logano crashed at Daytona, Ryan Blaney scraped up his car in the final laps of the Daytona 500 and Austin Cindric lost his car from Daytona because it is going to the Daytona Museum. This left Team Penske scrambling this week.

The No. 22 team will put the car that Joey Logano crashed in the Duel Race back together and he will use it as his primary Sunday. The backup car for the No. 22 team will now be the primary car for Austin Cindric. Team Penske purchased the car from J.J. Yeley and it will serve as the backup car for Cindric. (No changes to Ryan Blaney’s team) It all sounds like a mess and at the least…. A lot of work for Team Penske as they travel across the country.

I am switching Joey Logano to Alex Bowman in Group B.

Hendric Motorsports does not have the problems that Team Penske has. Alex Bowman won the last race at Auto Club and he ranks third-best on tracks where tires wear-out quickly. The No. 48 car should also have a good chance to win the pole Saturday. Bowman probably should have been in my lineup to begin with.

Kurt Busch had his car fail inspection three times Friday, so he will not be allowed to qualify and he will have to do a pass-through penalty to start the race. I will replace Kurt Busch with Tyler Reddick.

I will stick with Austin Cindric in Group C.

Here is my updated lineup..
