Driver Group Game Picks for Richmond

Facebooktwitter

The Cup Series will race again at Richmond Raceway Sunday. They last competed at this track in April. This is one of the easier races to predict because we have the data from the first race at Richmond to work with and the short, flat track races at Phoenix, Gateway and New Hampshire. Add in the practice speeds and the qualifying positions and all we need to do is focus our picks on the drivers who were fast in most of these races and in practice this weekend.

Here is my starting lineup for the Cook Out 400 in Richmond…

GROUP A

GROUP B

GROUP C

* I expect TY GIBBS to finish ahead of RYAN PREECE Sunday, but this pick is all about allocations. Preece is a short track ace. He looked good in practice, and he just had a bad draw for qualifying. This is a good race to use an allocation with Preece and get a top-15 finish from the No. 41 car.

Good Luck Sunday!
