

The Cup Series will finally make its way to Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS). The race was originally scheduled for March 15th but now the race will be on a hotter, slicker track. This should be one of the better races of the season. The Folds of Honor Quick Trip 500 can be seen Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on FS1.
AMS eats tires as fast as any track on the schedule. That means teams will take four tires at each stop and there will be a lot of pit stops Sunday since the race is 500 miles. Teams with a fast pit crew and drivers who can manage their tires will be up front Sunday.
Each week I use different stats in my model to create the best rankings possible to give you an edge on the completion. This week I focused on what happened at Auto Club and Darlington since those tracks are also high tire-wear tracks. I also factored in what we saw at Charlotte since some teams gained a bit of speed since the series returned from the Covid 19 break.
