Driver Rankings for Las Vegas

Round one of the playoffs is in the books and now it is onto round two. Wow, that went by fast. It seems like just yesterday we were talking about the drivers who were on the playoff bubble and now the field is trimmed to 12 drivers left competing for the championship. The race in February at Las Vegas had a lot of unexpected drivers finish in the top 10. Matt DiBenedetto, Austin Dillon, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Bubba Wallace and Ty Dillon all finished in the top 10. The cream usually rises to the top in the playoffs so I doubt we will see a lot of non-playoff drivers finishing in the top 10 this week. The South Point Casino 400 can be seen Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

I will be using the information from the races on the 1.5-mile tracks this season, the data from the last race at Las Vegas and the stats from the three races in round one of the playoffs. Momentum is important in the playoffs and the drivers who consistently ran well in round 1 should get off to a good start in round two.
