Early Week Driver Rankings for Pocono 

The MENCS will compete at Pocono Raceway this week in the Pocono 400. The “Tricky Triangle” is not like any other track on the schedule. The three unique corners and the three long straightaway’s make the crew chiefs and engine builders very important this week. The teams who can get their cars to rolled through each corner and generate the most speed on the long straightaway’s will be the teams to beat this week. The race can be seen Sunday evening at 6 pm ET on Fox.

Each week I use different stats in my model to create the best rankings possible to give you an edge on the completion. This week I used the drivers performance in the 2018 season, driver rating at Pocono, average finishing position at Pocono, results from the flat tracks this season, and the fastest laps of the season (we want driver with fast cars) and quality pass % (we want drivers who can pass other cars).

My early week pick for the pole is Kyle Busch (He won the pole for both races last year)
