The PGA Tour just completed their 2025 season and the 2026 season doesn’t officially start for a few weeks at the Sanderson Farms Championship. The ProCore Championship is typically used to give the new players on the PGA Tour a chance to get familiar with what it is like to be a pro at the top level. It is also used to give the players who need to work on their form a chance to play a competitive tournament before the PGA Tour season begins. This year is different though….
Untied States Ryder Cup Captain, Keegan Bradley wanted his players to be in top form when they show up in a few weeks at Bethpage Black. Most of the U.S. Ryder Cup Team will be teeing it up in Napa, California for the ProCore Championship. That makes this tournament a bit more interesting, and it should be a chance to win some money in DFS (there could be a lot of overlay this week, because most DFS players will be focused on the NFL Contests). I am writing a brief article for this tournament and then the picks will be back to normal when the official PGA Tour season begins.
COURSE BREAKDOWN
The North Course at Silverado Resort is the shortest course on the PGA Tour. The fairways are narrow and lined with trees. The rough is short and there are not many hazards that come into play. This tournament is all about accuracy off the tee and accuracy with the approach shots. This is kind of like when you go to a local small Par-3 Course to dial in your irons before you tee it up with your friends at the 18-Hole, Par-72 Course on the weekend. The winning score is typically 20 under par or better.

PROCORE CHAMPIONSHIP STRATEGY
There is no doubt that the Ryder Cup Players are going to be the most popular in the field. We cannot fade them though because they are by far the best players in the field this week. The motivation for the Ryder Cup Players may not be too high, since they are here for practice more than anything else. Scottie Scheffler in “practice form” can still win this tournament, but his price is too steep this week. It is fine to pay $14K for Scheffler when there are some good cheap options to pair with Scheffler. That is not the case this week. So I will use two or three of the Ryder Cup Stars and pair them with some of the players who have had success in Northern California.
Here are the players from the United States Ryder Cup Team who will be playing this week…

BEST BETS FOR THE PROCORE CHAMPIONSHIP
Once again I will be using the “Winner Without” market for my bets this week. Scottie Scheffler is just too good to bet against, so I will bet the winner without Scottie Scheffler. This means that it does not matter if Scheffler wins. If the golfer you bet finishes second to Scheffler of wins the tournament; you can your ticket. So, here are my “Winner Without Scottie Scheffler” bets for the ProCore Championship…
