It looks like the Fantasy Live game will be my best game again this season. My picks beat 100% of the competition and finished 40th overall in the regular season. My playoff picks are currently beating 99% of the competition. We need another strong race to finish in the top 100% in both games in 2018. That will be one heck of a season, but nothing new. My picks have finished in the top 99% for 5 consecutive seasons. I plan to keep that streak going this year.
* Before I get into the picks for Homestead, I want to say thank you. This year has been really good in some games and pretty good in other. I always try to give you this best picks possible for as many games possible. I know other sites do not do that. Thank you for giving Fantasy Racing Tips a chance and I hope you return for the 2019 season. If you have any suggestions feel free to pass me a message on my Twitter, Facebook Page or in the Forum.
2 Playoff Drivers
My two Playoff Drivers will be Martin Truex Jr. and Joey Logano. These two drivers qualified 3rd and 5th and they had the two fastest cars in practice. Logano posted the fastest lap with the fastest 5-lap, 10-lap and 15-lap speeds. Truex posted the 2nd fastest lap and was 2nd on every consecutive speed chart. Logano has the fastest pit crew in NASCAR and the No. 78 team knows there is no tomorrow for them. The No. 22 and No. 78 cars will be tough to beat Sunday.
2 Non-Playoff Drivers
My two Non-Playoff Drivers are likely to be Kyle Larson and Denny Hamlin. To say Homestead is the best track for Larson is an understatement. The No. 42 car has qualified 2nd and 3rd in the last two races in Miami, led 132 laps in 2016, 145 laps last year and has a 133.7 Driver Rating. No driver is even close in stats to Larson.
Denny Hamlin won the pole so he will have a great chance to lead laps and score a lot of stage points. Hamlin has not finished outside the top 10 at Homestead since 2012. The track ranks as his best 1.5-mile track. For once I feel confident using Hamlin in my lineup.
Garage Driver
My strategy has been to pick a Non-Playoff Driver for the Garage. I am switching it up this week. There is a lot of pressure on the Final Four Driver and pressure usually leads to mistakes. I do not trust the No. 4 team to have a flawless race so I want an insurance policy in the Garage. That driver will be Kyle Busch.
