My Fantasy Live picks bounced back last week after a rough start at Daytona. Kevin Harvick led my team to 353 points and a spot in the top 94.4%. I need another solid race in Sin City to ensure my picks make a climb to the top 99%.
Here are my picks for the Kobalt 400 at Las Vegas…
Kevin Harvick (Starts 19th): The No. 4 car is a great play starting in the 19th spot. The team set their car up for cloudy conditions and the sun came out and changed to track conditions. This car has top 5 potential. Harvick should score many points for position differential, Stage points and may even lead some laps.
Brad Keselowski (Starts Pole): The No. 2 car is my dominator this week. I am hoping he takes the early leads and scores many points for laps led, fastest laps and Stage points. I see no reason why he cannot win this race from the Pole Sunday.
Martin Truex Jr. (Starts 2nd): The No. 78 car scored the most points in Fantasy Live last year on the intermediate tracks. It looks like they are picking up where they left off. Truex was fast in practice and he starts on the front row. He has a good chance to score many points for laps led, fastest laps and finish each Stage in the top 10. I am gambling in Las Vegas and trying to score as many dominator points as possible. Pairing the No. 78 with the No. 2 car should max out the dominator points this week.
Ty Dillon (Starts 24th): I really hated to sell Clint Bowyer at such a cheap price but he qualified too well this week. I think Dillon will improve five spots while Bowyer will lose five spots in the race. Having Dillon on the team also allows me to spend up for a second dominator driver.
Cole Whitt (Starts 33rd): Whitt has been one of the best cheap drivers this season. He started 37th and finished 20th last week at Atlanta. If he races half as well as he did last week Whitt will be well worth the $5.25 investment.
PICK TO WIN: Brad Keselowski
MANUFACTURER: Ford
Good luck this week!
