The monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will compete at Richmond International Raceway this week. This race provides fantasy teams a great opportunity to climb to the of their league standings.
This is one of the most important races of the season for the Fantasy Live game. There are 400 laps in the race Sunday and 400 bonus points available for leading laps and fastest laps. Last year Denny Hamlin scored 166.5 points and Martin Truex Jr. scored 177.5 points. Teams who had these two dominators scored 344 points with only two drivers!!! You must have at least two dominators on your teams this week.
My top drivers to dominate this race include: Matt Kenseth, Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin
There are two strategies to use this week. You can use a balanced lineup that will give you four drivers who can all finish each Stage and the race in the top 10, plus one cheap driver. The second strategy is to select three drivers you think will dominate the race and two value picks near the $10 price range.
The balance lineup has more risk because you may not get two dominators and your teams will rely on Stage points. But it does have upside if Clint Bowyer does get to the front and lead laps.
The dominators lineup with drivers such as Martin Truex Jr., Kyle Busch and Matt Kenseth is safer because these drivers are almost a lock to lead laps. I will be using this lineup as my top lineup for the week.
