The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will compete at Talladega Superspeedway Sunday. So far Fantasy Live has been my best game this season. I plan to make my way into the top 99.9% and I am almost there. I do have a big decision to make this week.
In order to score well in Fantasy Live this week you must select drivers who start outside the top 15 with a good chance to finish up front in each Stage and at the end of the race.
Do not forget about the Stage points this week. Selecting drivers who start in the back and finish up front because of a big wreck at the end of the race works in other games (DraftKings and Fox Fantasy Auto Racing) but it does not always work in Fantasy Live.
I am selecting Kevin Harvick, Martin Truex Jr. and Matt Kenseth this week. They start around the 20th spot and need to get to the front quickly to earn Stage points. I would not be surprised if these three veterans worked together to make their way through the field. If they move up 10-15 spots and earn Stage points in both Stages, they will score well in the race. I think they can do it.
I selected Dale Earnhardt Jr. because of his price and his skill on the Superspeedways. Earnhardt is a dangerous pick because of his starting position but I think he will lead laps and finish both Stages in the top 10. Earnhardt has a lot less risk in Fantasy Live than he has in other games.
