Fantasy Live allows each team to try and predict the driver who will win the pole each week. You do not have to make a pick, but if you do and you are correct; your fantasy team will earn 5 bonus points. These points can add up and be the difference in a few positions in your league standings so we need to get them right this year.
NASCAR made their decision on how teams will qualify for the races in 2019. Single-car qualifying is back at all oval tracks. This should make predicting the pole much easier since the drivers with the fastest cars will now start up front again. No more hoping your drivers gets pulled through the draft in order to make a fast lap. My picks were very successful when NASCAR used this format in the past. I expect our Fantasy Live Pole pick to be more accurate the rest of the season.
Here is my pick for the Pole at Dover: Kyle Larson
It should be a Chip Ganassi Racing car on the pole Friday evening. Kurt Busch posted the fastest speed in the first practice (168.445 MPH) and Kyle Larson was second-fastest (168.106 MPH). Larson tested at Dover three weeks ago and he said they hit on something they think will work at the Monster Mile. Larson won the pole for this race last year and I think he will do it again.
Good Luck this week!!
