The NASCAR Cup Series will be joined by the Xfinity Series and Truck Series this weekend at Darlington Raceway. This will be throwback weekend for both series. That means we will see some of the iconic paint schemes from the past on the cars. It will be fun to see how many of those paint schemes are still on the car after the race and how many are covered with a “Darlington Stripe.” Here is the on-track schedule the races at Darlington this weekend…

It would be great to save our allocations with our top drivers this week, but that will not be possible. There are a handful of drivers who run well at Darlington and most of these drivers are the best in the Cup Series. We need to use these drivers in our Fantasy NASCAR lineups and save our allocations at the road courses and Superspeedways.
FANTASY STATS FOR DARLINGTON
There is an art to posting fast laps at Darlington. The drivers must run as close to the wall as possible, without getting too many Darlington Stripes. The best way to handicap this race is to look at the driver’s track history in the Gen-7 car at Darlington. The race at Homestead two weeks ago required a similar type of racing. We can combine the data from that race to give us some of the 2025 speed in our model.
