All three NASCAR Series will take their shows to Austin, Texas this week to compete at the Circuit of Americas. This is a new track for NASCAR so that means there will be practice and qualifying for all three series. This also means I have to change the schedule for when I post the articles this week. I want to see the cars and trucks on the track before I post my picks.
Cup Series Schedule
Saturday, May 22nd Cup Series Practice (10 a.m. ET)
Sunday, May 23rd Cup Series Qualifying (11 a.m. ET)
Sunday, May 23rd Cup Series Race (2:30 p.m. ET)
Driver Group Game picks need to be submitted by Saturday, May 22nd at 8 a.m. ET. We will once again be selecting eight drivers (2 from Group A, 4 from Group B and 2 from Group C). All drivers will score points for qualifying, but only the four drivers (1 from Group A, 2 from Group B and 1 from Group C) will score points from the race. You will only lose allocations from the drivers you use in your starting lineup. My starting lineup for the Driver Group Game will be post Sunday after qualifying.
The Fantasy Live and One & Done Game picks will be posted after qualifying Sunday.
The DraftKings and FanDuel picks for the Cup Series will be posted after qualifying Sunday. These will be simple articles with just picks. I will not have time to input the data in the model, figure out the picks and write the articles Sunday. I will be posting my Core Drivers, Cash Contest picks, Single-Entry Tournament Contest picks and Multi-Entry Tournament Contest picks.
The initial Driver Rankings for the Cup Series race will be posted Tuesday, May 18th.
The Best Bets for COTA will be posted Wednesday. I want to get some bets in early before the cars hit the track. We should get good odds on some sleeper picks if we wager on them before they post fast laps in practice.
I will not be posting any Race Notes for this race because this is the Cup Series first time at the track.

I need to wait until after qualifying before I can post the DraftKings picks for the Xfinity Series. DraftKings awards place differential points and I cannot determine which drivers to use in the lineups until I know where they start in the race. Like the Cup Series, there will be no model this week. The article will include my Core Drivers, Cash Contest picks, Single-Entry Tournament Contest picks and Multi-Entry Tournament Contest picks. The DFS Xfinity Series article will be posted after the Truck Series race (approximately 3:15 p.m. ET) Saturday.
