The Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will compete this week at Phoenix International Raceway. This is the last chance for Denny Hamlin, Brad Keselowski, Jimmie Johnson, Chase Elliott and Ryan Blaney to secure their spot in the Final Four at Homestead. This should be one of the most exciting races of the season.
So far my Fox Fantasy Auto Racing picks are ranked No. 28 overall. I really want to finish in the top 10 so I will need a high score this week and at Homestead to meet my goal.
Track position at Phoenix is very important. It is hard to make your way from the back to the front this week. The scoring format for Fox Fantasy Auto Racing rewards drivers who improve their position in the race a lot more than the drivers who lead the most laps. You will have to take some chances with drivers who start outside the top 10 in order to post a high score but do not go crazy. The driver who start up front are all pretty good at this track.
Here are my picks for the Phoenix….
Driver 1: Kevin Harvick $12,300 (Starts 6th)
Driver 2: Kyle Busch $11,400 (Starts 8th)
Driver 3: Brad Keselowski $10,400 (Starts 16th)
Driver 4: Clint Bowyer $8,000 (Starts 20th)
Driver 5: Kasey Kahne $7,900 (Starts 77th)
