The 2018 Fantasy NASCAR season is going to look a lot different from the way it looked in the past. Yahoo and Fox decided to eliminate their Fantasy NASCAR games at the end of the 2017 season and Fantrax.com decided to make some changes to their games to help fill the void left by the departure of Yahoo and Fox.
Fantrax.com has been a staple in the fantasy community for a decade now. They offer fantasy contests for almost every sport: NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, PGA, Golf, NCAA Football, NCAA Basketball, Soccer and NASCAR. They have offered NASCAR games in the past but this year will be different. Fantrax.com will offer a Bronze Points Salary Cap Challenge and a Commissioner Game.
Bronze Point Salary Cap Challenge
The Bronze Point Salary Cap Challenge is a pay-to-play contest. I decided to sign up for this game because I think it is very good. Here is how it works…
The Bronze Point Salary Cap Challenge cost $29.99 to enter. Wait!!! Do not let the price chase you away! I checked this game out and the payouts to the winners are obtainable. I checked out the game and if there is enough interest I will provide picks for this game and it should be easy for us to win our money back. Each league has 12 teams and the top 4 win money at the end of the season…
1st = $150
2nd = $75
3rd = $40
4th = $20
Each team will select 10 Drivers and 5 Reserve Drivers to make up their roster. Each driver will have a price and you must stay under the $20K salary cap (The reserves do not count towards the cap). Each team is allowed 12 driver claims (Selecting a driver from the pool of drivers not on your team).
* I figured out a strategy for picking these drivers and it should be easy for us to win.

Lead a Lap in the Race: 1 Point
Win the Race: 3 Points
Final Finishing Position: 1st = 40 Points, 2nd = 39 Points, 3rd = 28 Points, 4th = 27 Points, ect..

Commissioner Leagues
The Commissioner Leagues are FREE leagues for fantasy players. You can create your own league or join a league that has already been created. If you decide to create a league; you can choose one of the Fantrax.com Default leagues that have been used in the past, or a Migrating League (These leagues will replace the Yahoo and Fox leagues). You are also allowed to copy any league scoring format from a league you have been playing in before.
The Migrating League will be the perfect setup for fantasy players who are familiar with the Yahoo or Fox games. Simply select Fox Compatible or Yahoo Compatible for the league type you would like to setup. The scoring for the Fox Compatible is similar to the Fox Fantasy Auto Racing game and the Yahoo Compatible is similar to the Yahoo Fantasy Auto Racing game.
