The Cup Series travels to Nashville this week. This is one of the races I have not been to, but it is on my bucket list. I have been to Nashville, but that was before NASCAR started to race at Nashville Superspeedway. I heard from friends that it is an awesome atmosphere during race week. The racing has been pretty good too. The Ally 400 can be seen Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC.
It was a crazy race at New Hampshire and I was just praying that the One & Done picks would survive the rain and wet track. It ended up pretty good, but it could have been better. Christopher Bell was the pick in games where you can use a driver once throughout the season. We hit the jackpot and Bell won the race. Martin Truex Jr. was the pick in games that reset at the end of the regular season. Truex had the car to beat until he was wrecked. Truex bounced back for a ninth-place finish. Ryan Blaney also ran most of the race up front, but Michael McDowell took Blaney out in the final laps. The No. 12 car finished 25th. I will do my best to get some top-five finishers at Nashville.
Here are the picks for the Ally 400 ….
ONE & DONE CONTESTS

This pick is for games where you can only use a driver once throughout the season.
ROSS CHASTAIN will be my pick in games where you can use a driver once throughout the season. Chastain has been the best driver at this track. He leads the Cup Series with a 117.9 Driver Rankings, has the best average finishing position (2.7) and he has led the third-most laps (103). The No. 1 car posted the fourth fastest speed in practice, but he over drove the car in qualifying, so he will start 20th. Chastain finished second at Nashville from the 19th starting position in 2021. I will use Chastain and hope he can do it again.
ONE & DONE (REGULAR SEASON/PLAYOFF GAMES)

There are some One & Done Contests that reset when the playoffs start. That means you only need to use 26 Drivers for the regular season and then 10 drivers for the playoffs. We can be more aggressive in these types of One & Done Contests.
JOSH BERRY will be my pick in games that reset at the end of the regular season. I had Ross Chastain written in pen for this spot and then he went out and qualified 20th. I will take a chance with Berry. He said that it took a while to get on the same page with crew chief Rodney Childers. These two have been on a roll lately. Berry finished seventh at Iowa and third last week at New Hampshire. Berry starts second, so he has the track position to finish up front Sunday.
ONE & DONE (USE A DRIVER MORE THAN ONCE)

There are some One & Done games that are not really “One & Done.” I play in a league where you can use a driver twice and another league where you can use a driver three times during the season. The picks posted below are for these types of contests (I am going to base these picks on being able to use a driver twice during the 2024 season).
BRAD KESELOWSKI will be my pick in games where you can use a driver more than once during the 2024 season. I wasn’t expecting to use Keselowski at Nashville, but the No. 6 car looks fast. Keselowski had one of the fastest cars in his group Saturday and then he went out and qualified fifth for the race. Keselowski won on the 1.33-mile track at Darlington and he finished second at Charlotte. He has been good in the intermediate aero package, so I will use Keselowski Sunday.
Good luck Sunday!
