NASCAR One & Done Pick for Phoenix

Facebooktwitter

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Season has made its way to the final race of the season. It is now time to crown the 2023 champions, but before I get into the One & Done picks for the championship race, I want to say THANK YOU!!! My goal every year is to provide you the best picks and teach you a little bit about how to be a better Fantasy NASCAR player. I appreciate you giving me the chance to be your “Fantasy NASCAR Crew Chief.” The 2024 season is almost complete and I already cannot wait for the 2025 season. Now onto Phoenix…

I have been playing One & Done contest in NASCAR for about 21 years now. I have come to realize that if you can finish the season with a top-15 average finishing position from your drivers, you will have a good chance to win your One & Done contest. 35 races are in the books and the One & Done picks have an average finishing position on 17.9. We need one more good race in order to race our average even higher and move us closer to the top of our league standings. Most of our completion will be using one of the drivers who typically finish in the back. I saved a driver who finished in the top-five at Phoenix in March, so hopefully that will help us score well this weekend.

Here are the picks for the race at Phoenix….

ONE & DONE CONTESTS

This pick is for games where you can only use a driver once throughout the season.

BRAD KESELOWSKI will be my pick in games where you can use a driver once throughout the season. The RFK Racing cars looked great at Phoenix in March. Keselowski started 18th and finished 4th in the spring race at Phoenix. He also finished 8th at Richmond, 3rd at Gateway and 10th at Iowa. The short, flat tracks have been some of the best tracks for Keselowski on the schedule this year. The No. 6 car looked good at Martinsville last week, so that shows they have not given up on the season yet. I will take a chance with Bad Brad in the desert this weekend.

ONE & DONE (REGULAR SEASON/PLAYOFF GAMES)

The regular season is complete for this One & Done format and hopefully your team was able to advance to the playoffs. The drivers reset and now we need to pick 10 drivers for the 10 playoff races. I matched the drivers with their best tracks and I will update it as things change after practice and qualifying each week. He is my pick for the One & Done games that reset once the playoffs begin…

JOEY LOGANO will be my pick in games that reset at the end of the regular season. I started off the season by using Logano in the Daytona 500 and I will end the season by using Logano in the Championship Race.  “Big Race Joey” is back in the championship four. That should not surprise anyone. He has made the championship four in every even year since 2014. Logano has been great when he is racing for a championship at Phoenix. He won the last two races at Phoenix when he was racing for the Bill France Trophy and he led the most laps and qualified on the front row. Logano shows up when there is a lot to race for. His team had three weeks to prepare their car for this race. Logano will be good Sunday.

ONE & DONE (USE A DRIVER MORE THAN ONCE)

JOEY LOGANO will be my pick in games where you can use a driver more than once during the 2024 season. I wanted a driver who is racing for the championship and Logano is the only one I have left in this format. The cream typically rises to the top in the championship race. The four drivers competing for the championship get the four best pit stalls and extra room on the track. Logano should have a good chance to win Sunday.

Good luck Sunday!
