The Cup Series travels to Texas Motor Speedway this weekend for another race on a 1.5-mile, intermediate tracks. The One & Done picks have had absolutely no luck on the Superspeedway tracks this year. The picks started out in a hole after the races at Daytona and Atlanta. They caught fire on the non-drafting tracks and then sank again last week. The race at Texas is more predictable than Talladega, so I expect to get our points back this week. The Wurth 400 can be seen Sunday at 3:30 p.m. ET on FS1.
Here are the picks for the race for the race Sunday at Texas Motor Speedway…
ONE & DONE CONTESTS
This pick is for games where you can only use a driver once throughout the season.

COREY HEIM will be my pick in games where you can use a driver once throughout the season. Heim is expected to run 12 races in the Cup Series this year. I was thinking about saving Heim until he gets more experience in the Cup Series, but I like what I seen from Heim this week. The No. 67 car posted the 3rd-fastest speed in practice and Heim qualified 17th for the race. Heim finished 15th at Kansas. He should finish inside the top-15 again Sunday at Texas.
* I would use DANIEL SUAREZ if he was available. I used Suarez earlier this season at Phoenix.
ONE & DONE (REGULAR SEASON/PLAYOFF GAMES)
The picks for the Regular Season / Playoff Games are rest this week. There are some One & Done Contests that reset when the playoffs start. That means you only need to use 26 Drivers for the regular season and then 10 drivers for the playoffs. We can be more aggressive in these types of One & Done Contests.

DANIEL SUAREZ will be my pick in games that reset at the end of the regular season. Suarez considers Texas Motor Speedway as his home track. Suarez finished 10th, 5th, 8th, 12th and 5th in his five races in the Gen-7 car at Texas. He got a flat tire in practice, so his practice speeds are a bit skewed. Suarez qualified 2nd for the race, so he has the speed and the track history to finish up front Sunday.
ONE & DONE (USE A DRIVER MORE THAN ONCE)
There are some One & Done games that are not really “One & Done.” I play in a league where you can use a driver twice and another league where you can use a driver three times during the season. The picks posted below are for these types of contests (I am going to base these picks on being able to use a driver twice during the 2025 season).

CHASE BRISCOE will be my pick in games where you can use a driver more than once during the 2025 season. Briscoe got off to a slow start this year, but he has been pretty good on the 1.5-mile, intermediate tracks. Briscoe finished 8th in Las Vegas and 3rd at Kansas. Briscoe has also finished 3 of the last 4 races at Texas Motor Speedway in the top-10. Briscoe had some speed in practice and the No. 19 car qualified 5th for the race. I will take a chance with Briscoe in the Lone Star State Sunday.
