The NASCAR Cup Series will take a break from short track racing to get back a 1.5-mile track Sunday. The haulers will make the four-hour ride down I-85 from Charlotte to Atlanta this week. This will be the fifth race on an intermediate track this season so the race should be easier to predict than the mess at Bristol. The Folds of Honor Quick Trip 500 can be Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on Fox.
Last Race: The race at Bristol sucked for the One & Done pick. I really thought Matt Dibenedetto would have competed for a top-10 finish at his best track but it did not work out that way. The No. 21 car had mechanical failure and finished 31st. That puts the picks in a hole I am not happy to be in. I really need to nail this next couple of races to gain the ground I lost at Bristol.
Here are my picks for the Folds of Honor Quick Trip 500

My One & Done Pick for Atlanta: Kurt Busch
I was really hoping that Kurt Busch would have drawn one of the top four spots for the race Sunday. Of course he picked the worst spot he could get… 12th. This is a 500-mile race so I am not too worried about it. Atlanta is the best track for Busch. He has finished 3rd, 8th, 7th and 4th since 2014 at the track. I expect another top-10 finish for Busch.
Good luck this week!
