The 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will be competing in Fontana, California this week in the Auto Club 400. I plan to continue to save my top drivers for later in the season. I may have pulled the trigger and used Kevin Harvick but he qualified 10th. I will use him at a track where he qualifies up front and is a lock for a top three finish. Kyle Larson is good at this track but he is better at Michigan. We need to save the No. 42 car for the race this summer.
Here are my picks for Auto Club…

Stewart-Haas Racing has been the best team this year and I see no reason for that to change Sunday. They have won 6 of the 8 Stages since Daytona. Clint Bower should continue his early season success this week. Bowyer finished 3rd in this race last year and he is coming off a 3rd-place finish at Atlanta. The track at Atlanta and Auto Club are similar so I expect Bowyer to run well at his 2nd-best track on the schedule. I am not worried about his starting position. The Stewart-Haas Racing Fords are fast.
Good luck this week!
