Another week and another road course race for the Cup Series. The trip to the Indianapolis Road Course will be the 6th race on a road courses in 2021. The good news for your Fantasy NASCAR teams is that we have plenty of data now to make a good pick for our One & Done contests. These picks have been red hot for over a month and I do not plan on having a slump now.
Chase Elliott was my One & Done at Watkins Glen. I wanted to make sure I got a win or a top-three finish from Elliott when I used him in the One & Done game. I got it. Elliott started in the back and had a lot of problems in the first two Stages. The No. 9 car came to life in the final Stage and Elliott finished 2nd. The One & Done picks have now finished 2nd in three consecutive races. That is awesome, but I want a win (Yes, I am greedy… LOL).
My One & Done Pick for Indianapolis: Chase Briscoe
The only driver in the field to ever win at the road courses at Indianapolis is Chase Briscoe. Briscoe won the Xfinity Series race at the Brickyard last year and he was pretty impressive in the race. I am sure that win will give Briscoe some extra confidence Sunday. Briscoe finished 6th at COTA, 6th at Road America and 9th last week at Watkins Glen. I will take a chance with Briscoe at his home track.
