The Round of 8 is set and that means there are only four races left in the 2020 season. That also means we have used 32 in our One & Done contests this year. The Cup Series does not have 32 drivers who can finish in the top 15 on a weekly basis. That means the picks for our contests are going to look ugly this week. I have been saving a driver for this race so hopefully we can climb to the top of our leagues standings after the race at Kansas.
Last Race: Daniel Suarez was my pick at the Charlotte Roval. He has a lot of road course experience so I figured my Amigo would be a good pick. Suarez was not great but he did have a good race for him. Suarez finished 25th in the race. It was disappointing because I was hoping for a top-20 finish from Suarez at the Charlotte Roval.
Here are my picks for the Bank of Hollywood Casino 400…

Drivers left to use: Denny Hamlin, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Ryan Preece
My One & Done Pick for Kansas: Denny Hamlin
Each year I map out the drivers so I can use them at their best tracks. This year the schedule got all mixed up and my strategy got thrown off schedule. So here we are with four races left I the season and I have a start left with Denny Hamlin. This is a great race to use the No. 11 car. Hamlin won the last two races at Kansas, including the race last July. He leads the series in Driver Rating, Average Finishing Position, Average Running Position and Laps Led over the last two years in the Heartland. I will roll the dice with Hamlin in the Hollywood Casino 400.
Other Good Choices include (In order of preference): Erik Jones, Aric Almirola, Cole Custer, Tyler Reddick, Chris Buescher, John H. Nemechek
Good luck this week!
