The MENCS will kick off their run for the championship with the South Point 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. This year the race will be under the lights. The racing is always more exciting at night and I expect the same this week. The South Point 400 can be seen Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.
My goal every year in the One & Done game is to have an average finishing position of 15th or better from my drivers. Last week I used my start with Paul Menard and he paid off. Menard had one of his best finishes of the season. His 10th-place finish brings the season average to 12.7 on the season. We have 10 more races to bring the average inside the top 10. That would be pretty cool.
Here are my picks for Las Vegas…

My One & Done pick this week will be Joey Logano. Las Vegas has been the best track for Team Penske racing. Joey Logano won the race in Sin City in March and Brad Keselowski won this race last year. Logano has momentum this week after his 2nd-place finish at Indianapolis and he had the fastest car in final practice in race trim. Logano has a good chance to win Sunday night.
Good luck this week!
