The 2018 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will be competing in Las Vegas this week. The question we need to answer for our One & Done picks is: Do we go with a sleeper pick and save our top drivers until the NASCAR teams show what they have for the 2018 season, or do we pick one of the big name drivers to ensure we score well this week?
I like to save my top drivers (Martin Truex Jr., Kevin Harvick, Kyle Busch, Kyle Larson, Denny Hamlin and Chase Elliott) until the series has completed the West Coast Swing. I am going to take a shot at a sleeper pick who has a history of running well at this track.
Here are my picks for Las Vegas…

Paul Menard always runs well early in the season then he does when the tracks heat up. It is a good idea to use Menard before the end of the West Coast races is completed and Las Vega is a good track for him. Also the Wood Brothers have a good history at the track so I would not be surprised to see Menard get a top-10 finish Sunday.
If you can use a driver more than once I recommend Ryan Blaney. He starts on the pole, he was fast in practice, he has a history of running well at Las Vegas and he said last week during the rain delay that this is his 2nd-favorite track. The favorite track for Blaney is Kansas. He runs better at Kansas so I will save him for that track in the One & Done games.
Good luck this week!
