NASCAR One & Done Picks for Martinsville

Facebooktwitter

There are only two races left in the NASCAR Cup Series and that means we have used 34 drivers in the One & Done game. It is always tough to find good drivers at this time of the season, but the rotation of drivers in the Kaulig Racing No. 16 car and Ty Gibbs competing is so many Cup Series races have made it a bit easier. It is still tough in these final two races. We are going to need a lot of luck in the Xfinity 500 Sunday at Martinsville.

Here is my One & Done pick for the Xfinity 500

ONE & DONE PICK FOR MARTINSVILLE:  TY DILLON will be my pick for One & Done games where you can only use a driver once during the season. Dillon is not my pick because I think he will have a great race and finish in the top-10. I picked Dillon because he is the best driver I have available. Dillon finished 15th at Martinsville in 2018, 13th in 2019 and 16th in 2020. His average finishing position at the track is 19.6. I will be happy with a top-20 from Dillon Sunday.

ONE & DONE PICK FOR MARTINSVILLE:  CHASE BRISCOE will be my pick in the One & Done games where you can use a driver more than once. I am quickly running out of drivers to use in this game too. The choices I have left include: Alex Bowman, Daniel Suarez, Bubba Wallace, Austin Dillon, Aric Almirola, Chris Buescher, Chase Briscoe, Erik Jones, AJ Allmendinger and all of the back markers. Briscoe still has a lot to race for since he is competing for a championship. He will have the best car in the Stewart-Haas Racing fleet and all of the SHR drivers will be helping Briscoe with his setup. Briscoe finished ninth at Martinsville in April. He should have a good chance to finish in the top-10 Sunday.

ONE & DONE PICK FOR MARTINSVILLE:  CHASE ELLIOTT will be my pick in games where you can use any driver in the playoff races. Elliott is by far the best pick in the field Sunday. He has dominated the recent races at Martinsville. He led 236 laps in this race in 2020, 289 laps last year and Elliott led 185 laps in the spring race this year. Elliott is also awesome if your game awards Stage Points. He has won the last four Stages at Martinsville. I will use Elliott this in the Xfinity 500.
