NASCAR One & Done Picks for Martinsville

Facebooktwitter

Four races left in the Fantasy NASCAR season and most people are turning over rocks trying to find drivers for their One & Done games. Usually we get some “ringers” who make some starts at the end of the season as they prepare for their rookie season debuts at Daytona in February. That has not been the case this season so we need to keep scraping the pan for some crumbs that taste good to our lineups.  The First Data 500 can be seen Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network.

My goal every year in the One & Done game is to have an average finishing position of 15th or better from my drivers. Last week I decided to use Ricky Stenhouse Jr. He is always a boom or bust play but last week he was just “OK”. Stenhouse finished 16th and brought my season average finishing position to 13.7. Still above my goal for the season but these last four races will not be easy.

Here are my picks for Martinsville…

Wow, it is getting slim pickings for the One & Done game with 6 races left in the season. The drivers I have available to me include: Ryan Blaney, Matt Tifft, Corey Lajoie, Landon Cassill and Ross Chastain.

I have been saving Ryan Blaney for this race. Team Penske racing has been very good at Martinsville recently. Brad Keselowski led 446 of the 500 laps in March and Joey Logano led 308 of the 500 laps in this race last year. Blaney also led 145 laps at Martinsville last year. I expect Keselowski to help the No. 12 and No. 22 cars get the speed he had to dominate the race in March. This is the best track left for Blaney so I will use him this week.

* If you cannot use Ryan Blaney, simply check out my Driver Rankings article to see which driver is the best pick for your One & Done game Sunday.

Good luck this week!
