The NASCAR Cup Series will travel to the Irish Hills of Michigan for a double header weekend of racing. The cars will compete in the FireKeepers Casino 400 Saturday at 4 p.m. ET on NBCS and then line up the cars to run another race Sunday. Michigan International Speedway is a fast track and there usually are not many cautions. This race should go by quickly so track position will be important in both races.
Last Race: I sincerely apologize for the absolutely horrible picks at New Hampshire. The Magic Mile was the best track for Matt Kenseth and Kyle Busch should have been a lock for a top-10 finish. The Goodyear tires did not help out our picks. Both drivers got flat tires and hit the wall. Busch was running fourth when his tire went down and Kenseth was running 15th. That sucked! I will do my best to try and turn this around.
Here are my picks for the FireKeepers Casino 400 …

My One & Done Pick for Michigan: Joey Logano
My strategy for the races at Michigan this weekend is to use one of my top drivers in the race Saturday and come back with one of my mid-tier drivers who start up front on Sunday. Michigan has been a good track for Team Penske. Joey Logano won this race last year and he led 215 laps at Michigan. The No. 22 car starts on the pole and should finish in the top five Saturday.
Good luck this week!
