The NASCAR Cup Series will travel to the northeast to compete at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. The teams finally had a break from racing. This provided the teams much needed time to get into the shops and work on their cars. The racing is usually pretty good at the “Magic Mile” so I expect a good finish this week. The Foxwoods Resorts Casino 301 can be seen Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN.
Last Race: I went with Kurt Busch at Kansas Speedway as my One & Done pick. Busch did his thing… He consistently finished in the top 10 on the 1.5-mile tracks this season and he consistently finished in the top 10 at Kansas Speedway. Busch started third so I was hoping for a top-five finish but the No. 1 car finished ninth. Not bad, but we need some top-five finishes during the second-half of the season.
Here are my picks for the Foxwoods Resorts Casino 301 …

My One & Done Pick for New Hampshire: Matt Kenseth
We have to use Matt Kenseth in a race this season so it would be a good idea to use him at his best track. Kenseth has been very reliable at New Hampshire since 2014. Kenseth has finished 15th, 3rd, 4th, 2nd, 1st, 1st and 6th in his last seven races at the Magic Mile. That is an average finishing position of 4.5. I will be happy with a top-10 finish from Kenseth Sunday.
* If Matt Kenseth is not available for you, Ryan Newman is another good option.
Kyle Busch has been hard to trust on the large tracks this season because the No. 18 team seems to be a bit off with their ride-heights and down-force package. Busch has been good at the short tracks and New Hampshire is one of his best. Busch has averaged 109 laps led and 14 Stage points per race at New Hampshire since 2017. I would not be surprised if Busch finds Victory Lane for the first time in 2020 at the Magic Mile.
Good luck this week!
