NASCAR One & Done Picks for Phoenix

Facebooktwitter

Has it really been three races already? It seems like yesterday I was counting down the days to the Daytona 500. The MENCS is already into the 2nd race of the west coast swing. The cars will be back to 750 horsepower so the race should be more predictable than the Atlanta and Las Vegas. The TicketGuardian 500 can be seen Sunday at 2:30 p.m. ET on Fox.

My goal every year in the One & Done game is to have an average finishing position of 15th or better from my drivers. After the first two races my picks averaged a 15th-place finishing position. Last week I went with Austin Dillon. The No. 3 car was fast but a pit road penalty did Dillon in. He desperately needed a caution to get back on the lead lap and the race went caution free. Now we need a great race Sunday to get above our goal of the 15th-place average finishing position.

Here are my picks for Phoenix…

My One & Done pick this week will be Kevin Harvick. At the end of practice Harvick said this car drives like the cars did in 2014 at Phoenix. He won both races and led 488 laps at Phoenix in 2014. Harvick had the fastest car on the 20-lap average speed chart. The No. 4 car is the safest pick in the field this week.

Good luck this week!
