NASCAR Pick’em Contest for Richmond

Facebooktwitter

One of the more popular ways that some people play fantasy racing is by entering a NASCAR Pick’ems Contest. Players select one driver for each race, but you can only select a driver one or two times during the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series season. I will be providing my picks each week to help out members who play these types of games.

I am quickly running out of drivers for the 1 and Done game. The big name drivers I have left are Jimmie Johnson, Kevin Harvick and Austin Dillon. I will save Johnson for Dover in the Playoffs and Harvick for Phoenix.

David Ragan was pretty good the last time the MENCS competed at Richmond. He finished 19th and ran in the top 20 for most of the race.  Ragan was 14th fastest with the 20th-fastest 10-lap average speed in final practice. I will roll the dice with Ragan at his best track.

Kurt Busch will be my pick in the “Use a driver more than once” leagues. The No. 41 team is starting to heat up. Busch has finished in the top five in back-to-back races (5th at Bristol and 3rd at Darlington). Busch finished 8th in the spring race at Richmond and he was 8th-fastest in Final Practice so he gets the spot on my team Saturday night.

Good luck this week!
