The MENCS will compete at Kansas Speedway this week in the Hollywood Casino 400. The cream rises to the top at the 1.5-mile tracks so it is hard to select any drivers who start too deep in the field. There are still some bargain picks that can take your team to the top of your league standings.
I am selecting Kevin Harvick as my driver to go to Victory Lane and hoping to score the 20 points for winning the race. He had the best car on the long runs and he dominated the last race at Kansas. The No. 4 is the favorite to win Sunday.
Martin Truex Jr. starts 12th and he should easily move into the top 5. The No. 78 is a great pick to score place differential points and possibly win the race this week.
Kyle Larson must be on each team. He qualified 27th and this is one of his best tracks. He will start in the back but Larson likes it like that. It gives him more cars to pass. Larson should score the most points for place differential Sunday.
I really like Paul Menard in this race. This is his best 1.5-mile tracks. Menard ran in the top 5 in practice and 6th at Kansas in May. He should be good enough to move up 10 spots this week.
I am punting the last position on my team by selecting Matt Dibendetto. He starts 31st and he tends to move up 5 positions on the 1.5-mile tracks. I am hoping he can do it again Sunday.
Kevin Harvick ($12,500) (Starts 2nd)
Martin Truex Jr. ($12,300) (Starts 12th)
Kyle Larson ($11,400) (Starts 27th)
Paul Menard ($8,200) (Starts 18th)
Matt Dibendetto ($5,600) (Starts 31st)
Good luck this week!
