One of the easiest fantasy racing games to understand and play is the nascar.com Streak to the Finish game. Players must select a driver who finishes in the top 10 in order to start a streak. Each race you pick a driver and as long as the driver finishes in the top 10 your streak continues. If your driver finishes outside the top 10, your streak ends and you must start a new streak. The game rewards the teams who can put together the longest streaks.
My 12 race Streak finally came to an end in Kansas. I took the obvious choice in the Camping World Truck Series race (Kyle Busch) and he brought home the checkered-flag.
I broke my #1 rule in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race. My rule has been to never save drivers. You should always use the best choice possible in the Streak to the Finish game. Last week I had Martin Truex Jr. as an option and I decided to be cute and try to save Truex for Charlotte instead of using the No. 78 car at Kansas when he was the obvious choice.
I used Matt Kenseth in the race since he had a 7.2 average finishing position in the last 14 races at the track. My gamble did not pay off and Kenseth finished 12th last Saturday night.
This week I will start a new Streak and this time I will never go against Rule #1: Always use the best possible driver!
Here are my picks for the Streak to the Finish for Charlotte…
Camping World Truck Series: Kyle Busch
Xfinity Series: No Race This Weekend
MENCS: No Race This Weekend
Good luck this week!
