One of the easiest fantasy racing games to understand and play is the nascar.com Streak to the Finish game. Players must select a driver who finishes in the top 10 in order to start a streak. Each race you pick a driver and as long as the driver finishes in the top 10 your streak continues. If your driver finishes outside the top 10, your streak ends and you must start a new streak. The game rewards the teams who can put together the longest streaks.
So far my Streak to the Finish picks are off to a good start this weekend. I picked Johnny Suater for the Camping World Truck Series race Friday night and he brought his car home in the top 10. I selected Kyle Larson for the Xfinity Series race Saturday and he finished third.
I originally had Martin Truex Jr. picked for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race but the No. 78 team has had a lot of problems this weekend. They had a power steering problem in Friday’s practice and the team continued to have problems Saturday. The No. 78 car only turned 9 laps in practice because they were trying to figure out how to fix the car. Truex was 15th fastest in practice.
I am switching my pick to Brad Keselowski. He really liked his car in practice. It was 2nd fastest and Keselowski just won the Xfinity Series race. Both series will be using the same tire compound this week so I am sure Keselowski learned something today that he can use on Sunday. I will use him for my Streak to the Finish pick.
Here are my picks for the Streak to the Finish for Pocono…
MENCS: Brad Keselowski
Good luck this week!
