One of the easiest fantasy racing games to understand and play is the nascar.com Streak to the Finish game. Players must select a driver who finishes in the top 10 in order to start a streak. Each race you pick a driver and as long as the driver finishes in the top 10 your streak continues. If your driver finishes outside the top 10, your streak ends and you must start a new streak. The game rewards the teams who can put together the longest streaks.
Last week I selected Daniel Suarez in the Xfinity Series race and Martin Truex Jr. for the MENCS race. Suarez finished eighth and Truex won at Charlotte. My Streak has been extended to 6 races and my total points for the season are 61.
This week the Camping World Truck Series and MENCS compete at Talladega. The rules for the Streak to the Finish game state, “Your Streak will NOT be ended if you do not select a driver for the race.” This is important because Talladega is the most unpredictable track on the circuit.
Since I have a Streak of 6 going I am not going to risk it ending in the two plate races this week. I will be sitting out this week and I would suggest you sit this one out too if you have a Streak of 4 or more going. It is just too risky to try and select a driver for a top-10 finish at Talladega.
Here are my picks for the Streak to the Finish for Talladega for the people who want to make a selection this week…
Camping World Truck Series: Johnny Sauter
Xfinity Series: No race this week
MENCS: Brad Keselowski
Good luck this week!
