Truck Series Fantasy Picks for Charlotte

Facebooktwitter

The Truck Series will join the Cup and Xfinity Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway this weekend. This will be the fourth race on a 1.5-mile track for the Truck Series (Las Vegas, Texas and Kansas are the other three races). The race will be filled with mostly Truck Series regulars. The Cup and Xfinity Series drivers are not entered this week. David Gilliland will be behind the wheel of the No. 1 truck for Tricon Garage, but there are not any other ringers in the race. The North Carolina Lottery Education 200 is scheduled for Friday at 8:30 pm ET on FS1.

PRACTICE / QUALIFYING

The Truck Series had a 20-minute practice session Friday afternoon and then they lined up the trucks for qualifying. Some of the truckers were able to make long runs in practice. We can use this data for the picks tonight and combine it with the driver’s stats from the intermediate track races at Las Vegas, Texas and Kansas.

Here are the lap times from the practice Friday at Charlotte…

DFS STRATEGY FOR CHARLOTTE

The race at Charlotte is scheduled for 134 laps (201 miles). That means there are 33.5 points available for leading laps and 60.3 points available for fastest laps (93.8 dominator points).

The trend in the Truck Series races at Charlotte is for one driver to lead 58 laps and score 30 fastest laps (28 dominator points). A second driver leads roughly 52 laps and scores 14 fastest laps (19.3 dominator points). We will win most of our contests if we can find these two dominators for our lineups and score the 47 dominator points. I plan to pay up for the drivers I think can lead the most laps tonight.

The drivers with the best chance to score dominator points today are: Ty Majewski, Corey Hiem, Zane Smith and Tanner Gray

The drivers with the best chance to score place differential points include Zane Smith, Ben Rhodes, Grant Enfinger, Matt Crafton, Matt DiBenedetto, Nick Sanchez, Tyler Ankrum, Taylor Gray, Chase Purdy, Colby Howard and Ryan Vargas

DRIVER GROUP GAME PICKS

The Driver Group Game will once again have a contest for the Truck Series. It is easy to play. You simply select one driver from Group A, two drivers from Group B and one driver from Group C for your lineup. You can only use the drivers in Groups A & B six times throughout the season. You can only use the drivers in Group C five times throughout the season, so you have to use your allocations wisely. Here is the link to join: DGG Truck Series Game

Good luck with your lineups!
