Truck Series Fantasy Picks for Richmond

Facebooktwitter

The Truck Series will join the Cup Series at Richmond Raceway this weekend. The trucks did not race at Richmond in April when the Cup Series was in town, so we will have to focus our picks on what happened in the other short, flat track races for the Truck Series this season. The race at Richmond doesn’t have a clear favorite and none of the Cup Series drivers are competing Saturday. It should be a fun race for your DraftKings contest. The Worldwide Express 250 can be seen Saturday at 7:30 pm ET on FS1.

PRACTICE / QUALIFYING

The Truck Series had a short practice session to shake down their trucks for the race Saturday. Richmond is a .75-mile track, so most of the teams had plenty of time to make some long runs. We can learn a lot by looking at the 10-lap average speed chart this week.

Here are the lap times from the practice Friday at Richmond…

DFS STRATEGY FOR RICHMOND

The races at Richmond for the Truck Series tend to be a one dominator race. The main dominator typically leads 140 laps and scores 40 fastest laps (53 dominator points). There is also a second dominator who typically leads 30 laps and scores 20 fastest laps (16.5 dominator points), but we need to focus on finding the main dominator for our lineups Saturday. We will not win any money without the top dominator in our lineup if this race plays out like the rest of the races at Richmond have played out.

The drivers with the best chance to score dominator points today include Ty Majeski, Corey Heim, Christian Eckes, and Zane Smith

The drivers with the best chance to score place differential points include Zane Smith, Carson Hocevar, Stewart Freisen, Tyler Ankrum, Grant Enfinger, Nick Sanchez, Colby Howard, Brett Holmes, Timmy Hill and Josh Reaume

DRIVER GROUP GAME PICKS

The Driver Group Game will once again have a contest for the Truck Series. It is easy to play. You simply select one driver from Group A, two drivers from Group B and one driver from Group C for your lineup. You can only use the drivers in Groups A & B six times throughout the season. You can only use the drivers in Group C five times throughout the season, so you have to use your allocations wisely. Here is the link to join: DGG Truck Series Game

Here are the drivers I will use for the Worldwide Express 250

Good luck with your lineups!
