The most important aspect of the Driver Group Game is allocation management. We only get to use a driver eight times throughout the season in standard scoring leagues. That is a not a lot of usage for the top drivers so we need to find value whenever it is possible.
Unfortunately, crashes and injuries are a part of NASCAR. We had a terrible crash in the Daytona 500. Ryan Newman was injured and will miss the race this week at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Roush Fenway said there is no timetable set for Newman’s return. It is great news that Newman is out of the hospital and at home with his family. I pray he can return to the No. 6 car soon.
Ross Chastain will drive the No. 6 car this week so I am going to have him in my lineup. I am not sure if I will start Chastain in the Pennzoil 400 but I think it is a good idea to at least have him available. We can only use Christopher Bell, Cole Custer and Tyler Reddick 24 times total this season. That means we need to fill in 12 races with other drivers. This is a good time to get a value pick into our Group C lineup.
The rest of the team posted will be the same. Here is my updated lineup for the race Sunday…
