The NASCAR Cup Series is ready to crown their champion for the 2022 season Sunday. It seems like yesterday I was researching as much as I could about the Gen-7 car as the teams prepared for the Daytona 500. Now it is time for the last race of the season. It has been the year of unpredictability and just when you think you saw it all, Ross Chastain turns a lap at Martinsville at 135 MPH. I doubt the craziness will end at Phoenix. It is going to be a wild finish to the 2022 season. THANK YOU for letting me be your “Fantasy NASCAR Crew Chief”.
This is championship week and it called for a championship schedule. The Cup Series teams had a 55-minute practice session Friday evening, followed by qualifying Saturday. This extra track time gives us a lot of data to make good picks this week.
The format for this article will be a bit different for Phoenix. I do not know which drivers you I have allocations left with, so I will give my driver rankings for each group, followed by my team. Simply select the best drivers ranked highest in each group.
