The Cup Series is scheduled to race at Dover Motor Speedway Sunday. The teams had a short, 20-minute practice session to shake down their cars for the race. Most of the teams were able to make at least a five-lap run, so we will have some data to work with. Track position will also be important, because passing was an issue last year in the Gen-7 car. I expect NASCAR to give the teams a competition caution, so that should allow the fast cars that start in the middle of the pack to gain some early track position. It should be a good race to watch.
