

There are only five races left in the Cup Series regular season. The racing is heating up and the race at the “Brickyard” will likely be exciting too. The road course race at Indy last year was scheduled for 82 laps but it took 95 to complete because there were so many caution flags at the end of the race. Buckle your seat belts… The Verizon 200 at the Brickyard is going to be wild.
The Cup Series had their regular practice and qualifying session this week. The teams had 20 minutes to dial in their cars for the Verizon 200 and then they set the starting lineup. The cars are impounded after qualifying so the speed the cars had in practice should be the speed the drivers will start the race with Sunday.
